Q: Is the set oven-safe

A: Yes, Corelle® dinnerware is oven safe up to 350° F (177° C) when used in accordance with the safety and usage Instructions that came with your product at the time of purchase. All attachments (foot and handle) are only safe up to 248° F (120° C). DO NOT USE ON STOVETOP, under a broiler/griller, under a microwave browning element, in a toaster oven, or on or near any other direct heating source such as range heat vents, pilot lights, open flames, etc. AVOID SUDDEN TEMPERATURE CHANGES. DO NOT add liquid to a hot item, place a hot item on a wet surface, or handle with a wet or cold cloth. These sudden temperature changes may cause the item to break or shatter. Handle hot items with a dry cloth or potholder.

Q: is it true that the cups are a different shade (darker) than the other pieces? I have read that the cups are more 'ivory' and the plates & bowls white.

A: All the pieces should be the same shade of white. There should not be a colour difference. However if you do feel there is a difference you can always return the set to the store.
