I bought my 1st set of A/TW 4yrs ago and have enjoyed the safety they have provided on and off road. They have worn evenly but I have noticed that the rubber is cracking in between the lugs. The new ones will be going on before spring. Just could not pass up the sweet deal on a clearance price. Made in USA

Not great in snow
I've had these tires for a few years now and they are good in the rain and wet roads but not in the snow I thought it would be nice to have a winter rated all season but I don't know how these passed the winter standards. I just bought a set of blizzaks for my truck and it is a night and day difference stop in less than half the distance
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Cooper Canada Website doesn't have an ATW tire. There is a XT4 that looks similar. What's the deal?
3 Answers
A: The AT/W is proprietary to Cnd Tire, and the "sibling" XT/4 is Cooper's North American retail product found at authorized Cooper distributor chains. They really are very very similar, I don't think you could go wrong with either one

Q: Can I put LT 275 65 20 on my 2014 dodge ram 1500 sport that has 275 60 20's on it now ?
Sock truck not lifted or leveled

A: Yes you can , the 275/65/20 tire compared to the 275/60/20 height is only 1/2" higher I believe, not much difference in height between that tire, what your paying for is the increased load rating for the 275/65/20 tire.

Q: Question on 'fuel economy tests'
Were the tests based on winter driving or on combined overall winter and summer, would like to run these all year but don't want to take a mileage hit. Currently running a 2013 ram P-265/70 R17 Wrangler SRA factory tires

A: I run them all year and haven't had any mileage issues at all. I changed out the stock Goodyear SRA's that came with my 2015 Ram 1500 for these. Great tire. Highly recommended! I wouldn't be surprised if my mileage is actually better but I haven't tracked it that closely. Light years better than what came with the truck.

Q: Have a 2500 ram diesal,outdoorsman..are they loud on the highway and how is the mileage..thanks

A: I have them on my '11 Ram 1500. They are really not any louder on the highway, and not anything that would make you say..."Hey...hear that?" They are quiet!! I would not hesitate to get them. Mileage is still the same if you are talking mpg or l/100km. Has not changed at all!!!

Q: What is the tread depth of the Cooper ATW LT26570R17 and the P26570R17
10 years ago
2 Answers
A: LT's are 16.5/32 (0.516") as per their website spec page, no info on P metric, but it would normally be less than a light truck tire

Q: Slightly larger, is it OK?
Can I replace LT265/60r20 with the ATW are LT275/65r20. My speedometer is already indicating higher speed by about 4% when compared with a many GPS. Would the larger size help with the calibration of the speedometer and would it be acceptable?

A: It is recommended to stay within 3%.
However there are after market products (software) that will recalibrate your ECM to the new tire diameter

Q: can i use LT225 or 235-70-16 on my Nissan Rogue?
the origin equipped with 215-70-16

A: I have been researching this for my Pathfinder. Generally an LT tire is too rigid, especially if inflated to capacity. You will have better performance and ride if you use a P tire, which is most likely what comes on any Rogue or Pathfinder. You will actually have more load capacity as well if you compare an LT running at 35 pounds. The Tire Rack is a great site for such questions. They will answer you live.

Q: Can a truck rated fof 265 tires take the 275 rated tires
My 2014 Sierra GMC requires 265/65R18 tires. Can I put 275/65R18 tires on them ? Need a good tested tire with snowflake stamp on them for our Northern winters - what would you recommend? Thank you
10 years ago
2 Answers
A: It cannot be stated categorically that 275 tires can be installed in place of 265 tires and the 275 tire is not the recommended tire for a Sierra. However, I did install 275/65/R18 A/TW tires on my 2012 Sierra with no issues. The 275s are wider and taller but there are no clearance issues and the diameter is well within the 3% maximum allowance. It is likely that 275/65/R18 tires will fit all 2007 and newer Sierra and Silverado 4x4s with factory 18" rims. Aftermarket rims have to be assessed individually for clearance.
