Great bbq but you can not get parts for it

I was replacing the identical bbq that my burner rusted . The problem i had is that Coleman stopped making parts for this bbq . Now this bbq retails for 3 hundred and something .Why would someone buy something that you can not get parts for.

Q: Can anyone tell me what model griddle fits on this grill. the Road trip Excursion . The Coleman Full Griddle that Canadian Tire sells sits on it but then you cannot close the lid. Is there another version of this griddle and where can I buy it in Canada. i have ask Coleman the same questions but have had no response.
