Worked exceptionally well

Bought this shade mix 1.5 weeks ago. This are was hard packed sandy dirt, loosened up with a hard rake seeded heavy around this tree. Grass took in 4 days and I get almost 90 percent shade all day here. This was just cut as well. I have tried Scott's, generics and other popular brands and nothing would take here. Finally it has even in the drought part of the year.

Slow Start but Growing

I bought this grass seed to try and get grass to grow under an elevated deck. In the past i have tried regular Scotts seed as well as fresh sod and nothing lasted the summer possibly due to the fact it only receives about 3 hours of direct sunlight a day. It was slow to start taking about two to two and a half weeks to sprout. This is probably due to the limited sunlight but that is why it is rated for shade. It has now been about 6 weeks and there is good growth but I will probably overseed to thicken it up. Hopefully it will last the summer and return in the spring.

Didn't Grow in ideal conditions.

Decided to switch from Scotts seed to try this out (why not it was on sale). I had fresh soil, irrigation system watering twice a day and great weather and had minimal growth even after I had over seeded. I then bought the CIL over seed/fertilizer and it too has done nothing. Back to Scotts coated seed I go.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Not quite as advertised, but is growing...

4 (large) dog family, virtually no grass in shade of massive tree in backyard, plus pet damage. Got this on impulse. Did not grow in 7 days, more like 12 days, plus not all of it grew. Still areas of unsprouted seed in between. However, the sections that did catch, are growing very well. Even under a picnic table under the shade of the tree.
In past we used all purpose seed, high quality and low. Nothing ever caught or grew. This is the first seed that did. Requires patience and probably another bag of it for those unsprouted areas. I'll buy another bag but, would recommend mfg changes their boastful claims. 1. Not in 7 days, not even close and 2. Guaranteed to grow...umm, not all of it.

Not growing great.

I did everything specified on the bag and this grass is not growing well. Guaranteed to show in 7 days, it was more like 12 before I saw anything. It's been over 3 weeks now and it is hardly growing, and hasn't filled it at all. Very dissatisfied.

It is important to know that most grass seeds require soil temperature to be consistently above 15 degrees Celsius to germinate.
We suspect that the colder temperatures experienced through out May delivered the slower results.
