Dangerous product

Chemical Guys water spot remover product fogged my side mirrors and left staining on all my cars glass. Some reviews say there is a chemical in it that is used to etch glass. Stay away from this product. Contains hydrochloric acid and has a skeleton hand corrosive symbol which should be a big clue that this stuff can cause damage. RETURNING PRODUCT.

This thing is magic. I had huge water lines under my CX5 side mirrors that wouldnt go away with soap, vinegar, wd40... They went away in seconds with this thing! Sure, its quite expensive, but works and will save you time!

Q: Is this safe to use on a car with ceramic coating

  • A: As it turns out, I did not give this a try. I was told to try vinegar and it removed the water spots so well I did not use the product. The water spots are alkaline and vinegar is acidic. I used a detail spray before and then after using the vinegar to neutralize the acid.
