Absolute garbage mower

I really do need to read the reviews before I buy something. I bought the mower May 20th 2018 and I got used less that 15 times during two cutting seasons. Summer of 2019 I noticed issues. It was touch and go on the first start of the year after being cleaned...gas changed etc. Summer 2020? The sparkplug ignites but the engine won't run. Root cause? A garbage plastic carb. Look up Briggs and Stratton plastic carb online. JUNK. Because I'm 4 days out of the 2 year warranty no one wants to know at the Certified help desk. Ive since taken it to a private small engine mechanic to see if it can be saved.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Stopped working after 3 cuts

had issues from the start, very loud and had a rattling noice. had issues starting. after 3 cuts on a small yard, stopped working all together.... was concerned i was stuck with it but Chilliwack CT team let me replace it with another better unit. Dont buy, spend a few extra $$ and get a better product. Certified is CT's lowest quality product

Worst purchase!

Bought this lawnmower last August, only used it a few times before storing for the winter. When to start it this spring, wouldn’t start. Tried using a carburetor cleaner and worked for 1 cut and now won’t start. It’s been nothing but a headache since I bought it. Wish I would have purchased something else.

Q: I bought this mower last year. It will not start this year. Gas was drained, new gas, and plug was cleaned. Even bought a new plug. Won't start. Do I just take it to Canadian Tire for warranty repair? I have my receipt.

Q: The oil capacity in the manual, says its just under 1/2 litre (.44l). I put about 1/2 litre of oil in, and it seemed like it wasnt enough. The dipstick didnt really show how much, or little, was in the oil compartment, so should I put in more?

A: Slowly add more oil ( the oil should be between 0.47L ~0.8L), the oil level on the dipstick should be between Min. and Max.

A: Please check the following possibilities: Blade is worn -- Check the blade Cutting height is not right - Correct the cutting height The lawn/grass is wet - Allow the lawn to dry Discharge channel/housing is blocked - Clean the discharge channel/housing Underside of the mower deck is clogged - Clean the underside of the mower deck If the above does not resolve the issue, please call 1-844-428-7277 for further assistance.

Q: Why does the page for model 299-7799-8 say it was discontinued but available at Laval store? What are the differences with this model 060-0190-2 ? They look identical.

A: Both the units are identical in every respect. 299-7799 was launched for special deals only but looking at the performance and great reviews we brought the unit in-store for entire season under SKU 060-0190.
