Easy to install; I installed it right outside the store after I bought it before riding off in the rain. Provides protection from the worst of the dirt and spray, but I was still getting flicked by some from farther forward on the tire. It just doesn't have the coverage of a traditional fender that would cover the front of the tire. (But my front fork also sits a bit higher than most, so that might have been part of it.) Unlike the rear wheel version of the clip-on fender, there's no easy way to take this on and off the bike once installed; you basically have to leave it there, or snap it on and off every time and leave the bracket on your bike, and I'm not sure how many times it will tolerate being snapped and unsnapped. And having it sitting on the frame of your bike means you'll have to be a little more creative if you want to lock your front tire to the frame without putting stress on the fender by having the lock sitting up against it. So better than nothing, but it might be better to get a more traditional front fender.
