    Great Bike

I bike in the city (only for the brave lol) This Hybrid is well balanced and fast. Components for the price are excellent.

    Rim Collapsed

I was happy with the bike at first. It rode smoothly and felt comfortable. However, after two weeks under normal riding conditions (I ride on sidewalks as my commute to work), the front wheel unexpectedly collapsed onto itself. Practically folded in half. I weigh around 150 lbs. Canadian Tire's warranty didn't cover the tires, but after some phone calls and meetings with the store managers they understood the unfortunate situation and allowed me to return the product, thankfully.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good bike but having troubles with gears/chain

The bike is light weight due to aluminium frame. I liked the design. Handle bar has comfortable grips. The frame is such that it has upright seating, without extending the arms or bending the back. I have some complaints with changing the gears, as sometimes chain comes off during gear shifting. Also at certain gear combinations the chain hits the front gear dérailleur. I am still within 30 days free repair period, so hopefully they should be able to fix that. The existing seat on the bike is not comfortable for long rides and would therefore recommend some more comfortable gel seats. Overall good bike for city and urban rides. May also work in some light trails.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Excellent urban bike

It is great value for the money! I bought from Canadian Tire at Mavis and Dundas in Spring 2011. I biked it home from store about 10 Kms and found it was well assembled and was light-weight compared to earlier bikes I used in past. I use it regularly for city rides as well as trail rides. It never let me down thus far. I recently biked in a 20K charity event and was fun. I bought a gel seat cover for additional comfort. Gears work very well. Since I can easily take off handle bar with just one Allen key, I can fit it in the trunk of Toyota Corrolla and fit the bar back in less than 5 minutes. So it is portable without any problems..

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Two Month old Bearings Shot

This bike was two months old and Main Crank bearing shot. They replaced with another bike and again within a month Bearing started making noise. Fortunately they took the bike back. The bike rides nice but poor quality.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is this available in a 20 inch frame?

    2 Answers
    • A: Unfortunately not. I'm 6'-1" and find the bike a tiny bit too small, but I may get it anyway because I only need to commute a total of 3km. It's a great bike for the price. I haven't tried the CCM Nevada yet, which is a 20" frame. I will probably try before deciding on which one.
