Thank you for your feedback! To get the best results with your Catchmaster Jacket Jar, be sure to fill it to the water line to activate the attractant, then screw on the lid, lift and twist the center portion, and add bait to the outside entry holes. In spring, use protein-based baits like tuna or canned chicken, and in summer or fall, switch to sweeter options like honey or overripe fruit. If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us at info@catchmaster.com. CatchmasterFlyandRodentProducts

Thank you for your feedback, Tina. For stronger results, ensure the jar is filled to the water line to activate the attractant and add a small amount of food—protein-based in spring and sweeter options like honey or overripe fruit in late summer. Placing multiple traps around the problem area can also improve effectiveness. If you’d like personalized setup tips, please contact us at info@catchmaster.com CatchmasterFlyandRodentProducts

    ZERO stars

We have a LOT of wasps, and they are starting to cause a problem. We set this contraption up weeks ago and the wasps have absolutely no interest. We have caught zero wasps using this. The shop-vac has been much more successful.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for your feedback, Frederick. To improve the effectiveness of your Catchmaster Jacket Jar, be sure to fill it to the water line to activate the attractant, then screw the lid on, lift and twist the center portion, and add food around the outer entry holes. Protein-based baits like wet pet food, tuna, or canned chicken work best in spring and summer, while sweeter options such as honey, overripe fruit, or syrup attract wasps better in late summer and fall. Wasp Catching

It was late in the season when I placed 2 Catchmaster bags in our yard, as Wasps were still coming around when we tried to eat outside on our deck. They didn't appear to have much success, only 1 wasp each bag after 3 weeks, and they were still active around the outdoor food. I will reuse the bags next year and try placing a different attractant in them. I think the system should work if I put them out early in the spring.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Maybe a silly question but how do the wasps actually get into the bag? Just that little opening at the top where you add the water?

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes, the wasps enter through the small opening at the top where you add the water and attractant. The design allows them to crawl in easily, but once inside, they cannot find their way back out.
