J'achète un paquet de 4 à chaque année. J'en utilise 2 en juillet et 2 en août pour le garage attenant à la maison. Ça fonctionne très bien. Il faut suivre les instructions et faire chauffé les tubes au soleil pour faciliter l'extension du papier.

very sticky and catches anything that comes in contact - and I mean anything

They are very sticky - be careful when taking them out as it is easy to get on your fingers, clothes, or other things that are within reach. I found them to almost be too sticky. When pulling out from the package to hang - the end ripped off in my hand. so I hand to hang it upside down with some tape. Thus the reason for 4 stars and not 5. I have caught a few flies, and a lot of little fruit flies. once they are stuck they seem to stay stuck and struggling just seems to get them even more attached to the sticky. Be careful that you hang it somewhere close enough to foods or where the little buzzers are and not where little fingers and hands can grab it or get stuck on it. Will put out another this week to replace the first one and hopefully it won't pull apart on me when I put it up to do its job.

Q: How effective is this ribbon AND how often do you change it?

A: I find it very effective. It's best if hung near a window or under a light because bugs like light. How often you need to change it depends. I've seen about 100 flies on one. They hold a lot. However, when you put a fresh one on, they seem to work a bit better. If you don't have too many flies, once a month would probably work. Every 2 weeks or so would be better. If it's really dusty (ex: in a horse barn), the dust might make the ribbon less sticky and they might have to be changed more often.
