A: It appears to be #20 gauge wire. Very thin, and borderline for a doorbell/chime. It's also completely useless. It's single conductor, NOT the standard 2-conductor wire used for doorbells. It's really just "hookup wire" used for kids experimenter kits, etc. Doorbell wire should look like the old thermostat wire, with separate black and white conductors inside a brown jacket. In my opinion, this stuff is a rip-off.

A: The guage of this wire is 20 AWG single conductor solid wire; 48 volt maximum low voltage load.
