Great accent

Just mounted on my covered patio. I love it. It doesn’t give off much light but I didn’t buy it for that. Its good quality and heavy enough I won’t worry about it blowing around in the wind. Beautiful decoration piece.

Q: My Moravian star light is beautiful BUT it only works during the day not at night. WHY? Do I need to return it? Thanks Gail

A: I also have this light with the same problem. The light works fine in the daytime. I generally turn mine off during the day. When I go to turn it on at night I get no light. The battery is totally depleted or it has never charged at all. If I test it with the volt meter the battery is totally dead even after turning the light off during the day and having almost 7 volts charging the battery during the daylight hours. Is there a replacement for this battery?

Q: Does the solar panel need to be plugged into the light to charge the battery? Or can I put the solar panel outside now and plug into the light later? I wanted to see if this worked before installation

A: Thanks for your inquiry. Yes the solar panel will need to be plugged in to the light to charge the battery, as the battery compartment is located in the canopy of the light fixture (not in the solar panel assembly). What you can do is charge the battery and use the on/off pull cord switch to make sure the light comes on before installing the light fixture in its final location.

Q: Do you know where I can get a replacement battery for my solar Moravian star light! There is no name or model number in it and it’s a really odd size. I would like to know the name and size of the battery thank you as it’s no longer working.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The battery is a lithium 3.7V 18650 2000mAh rechargeable solar battery.

A: This product was designed as more of an accent light, rather than functional light. It has 20 warm white LED’s that generate 16 lumens of light at a full charge.
