If you have a light boat, I think this would be fine, however, my 1700 Pro-V ( around 900 lbs.) it bent on the first time of use, with a light bump, while loading. The elbow is the weakest part. As I said before, if you have a light boat, it should be ok. Barry

Weirdly difficult to install but work like a charm once there!

Weirdly difficult to install because of the use of lock nuts. Takes forever to put these nuts on. A simple lock washer would be so much easier to install than the use of a lock nut. Once installed, I have found the guides work very well when trying to load a boat onto the trailer. They really help to line up the boat onto the trailer rollers or skids. I left about a 1" to 1.5" clearance between the boat and each guide. With that, I siimply push the boat out into the water, and pull it back in between the guides, hook up the winch and pull the boat up to its securing point. That is all there is to it.

Installation way too finicky

The use of locknuts on long bolts makes the installation of these boat guides way too finicky. Something that should take 10 minutes to install took almost an hour because of these locknuts. These nuts have to be installed with a wrench for the whole length of the bolt. They can't be turned by hand. A lock washer would be a more practical solution. Seems a tad expensive as well for what you are getting.

No, I do not recommend this product.
