I picked this up for a hunting trip coming up, so far I am very Impressed with this unit.
The field of view is a bit narrow at 4.5x but I can manage to survey a entire area without any issues.
The unit is very well made and the rubber material feels real nice on the hands.
The ir flashlight does output a red light and uses up the battery, you can get around this by getting an external ir flashlight that does not emit any light which attaches to the picatinny rail.
Overall I am very pleased with Bushnell's nv line

A: The unit comes with a tripod socket as well as a picatinny rail.

Q: How long will it run on batteries? Can it use external power? What size & type of memory card does it use? What is image capture resolution? What is video resolution? Can you capture video & image simultaneously? What is the video output format?

A: -There is no provision for external power connection. -There is no specification for battery life however battery life is dependent on usage; If unit is in continuous use with the IR illuminator left on, then battery life will be reduced. -Video output is NTSC or PAL, resolution is 640x480 pixels per frame. -Unit can accommodate up to a 32GB micro SD card. -The unit can record still images or video images but not both at the same time.
