Like other people on the website, I am a long time loyal customer of Burt's Bees with the original Beeswax Lip Balm. Unfortunately the store I was at was out of the original so I picked up the Pomegranate Lip Balm which turned out to be quite unpleasant. Had a funky smell and thought maybe the flavour would be there but no Pomegranate scent to it. Also one note is it provides red 'marks' which I didn't know about. Didn't realize until checking the website that the formula had changed and apparently I wasn't the only one customer who went through it all...

Surprise Tint :(

Like many many of the people here, I am a long time loyal customer of Burt's Bees. I usually stick to the original, beeswax unflavored version--but have also noticed a formula change I have found quite unpleasant. I worry that as the years have gone on--the brand has become less reliable, and has pushed products of a lower quality.
That being said--I recently started trying the flavors, and have been fairly happy with the other ones I've tried, but I picked up a pomegranite one today and was surprised to open the package and find that it was a tinted lip balm. I wouldn't have purchased it if I had known. I'm quite pale, and when I applied the balm, the tint made me look like I just ate a bowl of spaghetti with red sauce, it is very unflattering. I don't have an issue with the scent/flavor thats making the other low reviewers unhappy--but I'm very disappointed that the product was not labeled truthfully. I also think its telling that diehard fans of the other flavors are upset about the very noticeable formula changes that Burt's Bees has put forward over the last few years. I really hope the company listens to loyal customer's opinions about their ever declining formula quality, and in the case of the pomegranite for me--poorly labled packaging.
