The Brome Squirrel Solution 150 Easy Bird Feeder is designed with feeding ports that align with openings which automatically close when a squirrel's weight triggers the mechanism. This ensures birds are safely fed without being disturbed by squirrels. Its patented system allows hot air and humidity to escape, keeping bird food fresher for longer. The non-adjustable design ensures consistent performance, and the feeder can be conveniently hung in a variety of locations such as windows, trees, decks, fences, gardens or sliding doors, providing excellent birdwatching opportunities.

I bought this feeder a week ago, hoping to stop the squirrels from taking all the seed in my feeder. While it did deter the squirrels, it did nothing to help with seed loss. With the way the feeder is designed, the seed falls to the ground much faster than my old feeder. I’ve had to fill it twice this week. I would not recommend this feeder. Might as well save your money and just throw all your seed in the ground.

I set up this feeder at our cottage. I like that the yellow part on the bottom can be removed to use as.a.funnel.tonfill the feeder. It.is well built and the birds like it.

good squirrel feature

So far so good. Only been a week but the birds seem to use it; I don't ever see them but the feed drops continually. I like that the cage drops easily. The last feeder was supposedly squirrel proof, but the cage stayed up even under squirrel weight so it never really worked. The cage moves easily on this one.

Not a deterrent for red squirrels

It would have been nice to read this disclaimer on the OUTSIDE of the packaging before buying it and setting it up.In the enclosed pamphlet it states clearly that this particular feeder will not deter red squirrels. Will be returning it for a refund, and look for a model that has adjustable weight trigger for the cage. Apparently red squirrels are not only lighter, but far more persistent and acrobatic than gray or black squirrels. They figured it out in no time. If you have larger squirrels I imagine this would work well.
