I have used Brita water system for as long as I can remember. This three pack which I last purchased at Canadian Tire, is very good value and it is so convenient when changing the filter every two to three months. I recommend this format highly

Tastes bad

Perhaps it is filtering the water, which is great, but it makes the water taste like paint water. When i first pour my glass of cold water it tastes fine, but after sitting out for 20 minutes it starts to taste like paint was mixed in or some kind of chemical. Absolutely awful. I’ve used off brand filters for my brita pitcher and it does not make the same taste so it has to be the brita filter that is doing this. Please fix whatever is causing the taste because it’s awful and I feel like I shouldn’t be drinking it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

These filters change the taste of every drop of water that passes through them. We have used them for many years, and the result is TOTALLY REFRESHING! Particularly if you are using fresh, clean, POTABLE water and chill the water as it it being filtered. PLEASE NOTE: they are intended for use ONLY WITH POTABLE DRINKING WATER. Use only with water that you know is SAFE TO DRINK.

Q: It says in the features for this filter that it filters 98% of lead. Is this true? I don't see any mention of lead on the box and the features of the 5 pack of the same filter doesn't mention lead.

A: Our Brita 3 Pack Filter #421821 does not remove lead. However our Longlast Filters (1 Pack #1422240, 2 Pack#1422241) remove 99% of lead. The features will be updated to reflect this.
