odd malfunction

First time I have had a problem with a Brita filter since we started using them 25 years ago. Our carafe was bought in 2018 so it is not old but these filters are a bit too tall so to get it to filter you have to pull it up ever so slightly. If the top is on properly it pushes on the filter and the water does not go through.

If you have never tasted the difference between water that has gone through a Brita filter and water that comes from your kitchen tap....you don't know what you're missing! They taste different....and the winner is.....Brita filtered water! The product is excellent and I'm betting it's also healthier for your body too!

I love my Britta pitcher, we always have fresh cold water in the fridge. I even use it for the kids animals, taste so much better than tap. And saves money by not having to purchase plastic bottles of water!

Q: It says in the features for this filter that it filters 98% of lead. Is this true? I don't see any mention of lead on the box and the features of the 5 pack of the same filter doesn't mention lead.

A: Our Brita 3 Pack Filter #421821 does not remove lead. However our Longlast Filters (1 Pack #1422240, 2 Pack#1422241) remove 99% of lead. The features will be updated to reflect this.
