Great unit with some advise.

Electrical cable coating to rotator & Chute motors cracks in cold weather !
Chute rotator motor after running in heavy cold weather & getting wet would cause condensation inside housing and seize up if left outside in the cold. Sometimes while running motor heat would thaw sometimes not.
Simple PLASTIC COVER REMOVAL over the rotator gear allows hand turning if this happens. Or very gentle heat on the plastic motor casing. Heated or warm garage best option. Highly recommended for versatility and ease of use, this machine is balanced easy to use and efficiently strong,for most Canadian city home use. I also operate an Airens 924 which is a much more commercial a machine but much heavier and difficult in comparison to operate. And for larger rural ares to blow it would be recommended. But for smaller urban lane ways this is the ultimate guaranteed. As for snow plow embankments all blowers need that to be broken down some, with a shovel depending on the water in it.

Excellent unit

I had enough of my little snow blower. A shovel was faster than it.
I had been stockpiling my CT money for awhile, so this was the year for a real snow blower.
Purchased this one because it was on special and it had some awesome features.
Poured fuel into the tank, checked the oil. And fired it up right in front of store. Drove it out to my waiting trailer. Started on second pull.
First time I used it went through back yard to cut path that had an average of 2 feet of snow piled.
It didn't even slow down in 3rd gear. Plowed right through. Fabulous. love the power chute and steering. The heated grips are a sweet asset as well. Highly recommend this unit. great power.

Solid Machine!

I picked this up yesterday after going through a nightmare in repairing one that I had...my big boat anchor!I did not want to spend the big bucks but it is all that was in stock...Excellent machine!!!Lots of power and started like nothing both with electric and by hand.i ran it for about 2 1/2 hours through some ugly snow,the engine never changes RPMs and it cuts through anything.It's big and heavy but who cares,it's doing all the work,not me! Based on today's efforts...5 stars from Winnipeg!

Worst Machine EVER!

I recently purchased this machine, due to the heavy amount of snowfall we receive in Northern BC. It was used once, and has been in the repair shop ever since. The shop cannot figure out why it is acting the way it is! When I was at the shop, another customer was dropping his machine off for the exact same problem! Hoping Briggs will step to the plate and help me get my money back for this piece of junk!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: how to repair the snow thrower clutch on left side Where does the cable start and end. The cable went loose and won't pull. Can't tighten the cable to blow the snow.

A: More than likely the plate under the unit will have to be taken off to locate the cable cable access point.
