Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 RFT Winter Tire For Passenger & CUV

I was very fortunate to have purchased these tires for my 2012 Honda Civic Si. Size: 205/55R16. Now I purchased smaller rims from an older model. The theory is for winter, you want a skinnier tire, which slices right through the snowy landscape, and these tires do that very thing with handling and a beautiful grip. I do upset some fellas with their huge 4 wheel drive vehicles, but they simply can not keep up with me. So not for everyone, but these type tires do offer very good control in the snow. I used these for one season on a 2018 X3 M40i, but I don't see them lasting much longer than that and I found myself ordering replacements already. I would rate them 4/5 for traction when new, however the centre section is now completely worn and they give me very little confidence after maybe 8000kms worth of driving. They have always been run at the correct pressures and my other two sets for this vehicle have even tire wear. I've had many, many sets of tires over a wide range of vehicles, so I feel I can give a somewhat accurate review (currently have 24 tires stored at home, not including tires currently installed on cars). I would not buy these again. When I purchased them, I was in a bind and didn't have time to do much homework on them. See Tyre Reviews on YT for more information. These were the lowest rated in the bunch for wear making them a poor value per km. I have a few sets of Bridgestones that have served me very well, particularly in the UHP and 200TW segment. Since the centre wear on these ones was such a concern to me, I went looking for used sets of LM001s out of curiosity and found them to be in the same condition. I've since ordered some Continentals as a replacement.

I got my new tires on the first day of snow and so far this winter they have already been tested in all conditions. We have seen ice, slush record snow levels and bare streets. The tires perform well in all the conditions and my family and friends who have ridden with me and driven my car have been very impressed with the performance. I have had Blizzacs before and always been happy with the performance and will always choose them for my vehicles.

Snow tires aren't just for snow and ice. A dedicated snow tire can be very useful during heavy Florida rain storms; additionally, I found the Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 tires to be very good on the beach. Loose sand was no problem for the LM001's.
