LOVE MY BREVILLE!!!
Best kettle ever. Love the way the cord winds up in the base, love the way it looks on my counter and I especially love how fast it boils water for my tea. I could not be happier with my Breville and I will happily buy another one if this one ever konks out.

Poor quality and terrible ergonomics

The kettle broke within 6 months - the switch failed. Also, when it was working, the auto shut-off would only kick in after the kettle had come to a boil for about a minute or two - not great for overhead cabinets. Once the kettle had boiled you would have to wait for it to cool off before boiling any more water (due to the auto shut-off preventing operation of the kettle). The ergonomics are terrible - difficult to pour when the kettle is full due to the design of the handle being more aesthetic than functional.

Manufacturing problem ?

Just purchased this and tried it out. Kettle heated up nicely but then leaked from the on/off switch and from the handle. Bottom of kettle also began to show those small circles that are the first sign of corrosion. Will be returning the product today and buying a different brand. Disappointed.

I have used this kettle daily for 7 years at least 4 times a day. This is by far the best kettle i have ever used. I would absolutely recommend it.

Q: Is there any plastic in contact with the water? I do not want plastic toxins BPA free or otherwise it is still heated plastic and while the studies on BPA free plastic so far, some indicate it is just as bad. I would like to avoid plastics in contact with something I am consuming.
