Drilling through asphalt

Was sharp for two 12” holes only, had to buy a second bit to make 4 holes.

Substandard bit

Bit would not completely drill thru 2x4 without considerable force.Expensive bit that did not do the job,won't buy another one.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I used this bit in the construction of a treehouse for my children. It did exactly what I needed it to do. It is also great for running wires in studs in a house. I highly recommend it.

One tough auger bit.

I tested this auger bit by drilling 12 holes through some old railway ties that were embedded with gravel, chunks of metal and other stuff. The auger drilled through the railway ties hitting gravel and metal pieces and stayed sharp throughout the whole project.
