Q: will this product be strong enough to use on cab corners
12 years agoA: This product is meant to provide a firm, metal-reinforced contour foundation for Bondo fillers and fibreglass resins when applied directly over the patch area. As such, it is not meant to provide structure to a panel or body part. If that is a concern, you are probably better to weld in a patch panel.

Q: Can you use this instead of welding a metal plate on the back? I am wanting to fix some rust holes in the side of an old truck. Seeing as they go right through I am either going to have to weld a metal plate on the back or find some other solution. I am wondering if this will work instead.
12 years agoA: The Bondo Self-Adhesive Body Patch will reinforce perforations up to 4 inches in diameter. While welding in a steel patch is the best option besides replacing the panel, this patch will help reinforce body filler on smaller rust-outs. Another option is using fibreglass mat and polyester resin on the backside of a hole.

Q: Ok for floor pan repair Need to patch rusted floor pans about 2x 1 sq ft. Does this produce need reinforcement, or covering up with tar etc., to be legal?

Q: Can it withold more than 100 degrees hot temperature I want to apply it to engine oil cover and it will be in contact with hot oil and the metal which is more than 100 degrees celcius. Is there any other product for the same need?
17 years agoA: This product is designed for exterior use only. A product like JB Weld might be more suitable for your needs.
