    Best price

I have these in my bedrooms, they take about 2 minutes to warm up, but you can leave them on. I read that it's better to leave these types of bulbs on compared to turning them off and on all the time.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Worst CFL ever

I bought a load of these when on sale. They have got to be the worst CFLs I've ever bought. Most have lasted perhaps a year (I have several Ikea ones that have been going for >5 years now) and several have broken away from the base (when unscrewing them from the light fitting, the screw bit stayed in the fitting, the glass came away in my hand). I definitely won't be buying again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Very good purchase

I would reccomend this to anyone who wants to put these light bulbs in their outdoor lights. Yes they do take a minute or two to warm up but when they do, they are a really nice warm white and they perform very good in -30C But, if you are wanting this in your home, I would think twice because if you need quick light it will not perform well.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Great energy saver

For a buck a bulb you can't go wrong. They take a few seconds to become fully bright but they are brighter than most 60W bulbs and use about 1/5 of the energy. I bought 14 packs of them and replaced every light in the house.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Not great

These are what is considered a soft white bulb (same color as regular incandescent) Once they warm up, they work quite well and have a look of a incandescent bulb. Out of the 6 I purchased, 3 had a horrible buzzing noise and went in the garbage (good thing they are very low mercury); much like the noise the very first CFLs used to make. The other 3 work well in my fixture after they warm up. I would not buy them again just to avoid the CFL look...there are much better quality spirals out there

No, I do not recommend this product.

    • A: No, however 52-5100, 52-5183, 52-5388 are dimmable.......We would suggest the following dimmable LED bulbs as an alternative: 52-0743 52-0746 52-0747

Q: Can these be used in a closed light fixture? I haven't been able to find any CFLs that specify that they CAN be used in a closed fixture. Can these ones be used?
