Good For Inside, Bad For Outside

These lights are great for indoor and I have not had a problem yet. As for outside they do not seem to last at all, specially with the cold temperatures. I had one outside in my light during the summer and it lasted about 4 days. I tried one a couple days ago and it only last the night. Conventional bulbs last years so I know moisture or a short circuit is not the issue.

I bought this for 2 of my kids rooms based on the other review present on the website and the video found online. The concept is awesome, the delivery seems less than awesome. I've already had to replace one bulb because it would turn on to full brightness in the middle of the night, while everyone was sleeping. The replacement wound up doing the same after a few days. So we leave it on until the kids are sleeping then turn it off to avoid having them wake when the light magically turns back on.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Best Product EVER

Absolutely love this light! No more little night lights plugged in the wall....They limited where we can place furniture in my child's room. This bulb works awesome! I have switched all 3 lights in my son's room to these. He likes the one the best next to his bed in his reading light. He like to read and then when he is done he switches it to his night light! PERFECT! Works great in the ceiling light as well as the others. It also frees up your wall outlet!

Q: Do these light bulbs contain mercury? Does Canadian Tire recycle these (Gardner's Rd, Kingston store)?

A: CFL bulbs contain Mercury – so this would fall under that segment. LED bulbs do not contain Mercury, but this particular SKU is a combo of both and thus contains Mercury. Yes, the Kingston, Canadian Tire store at Princess St. & Gardners Rd. does accept these bulbs for recycling.

Q: Hi, I bought this CFL/LED bulb 6 months ago, but lately found it switches from night light to full light after about 9 hours... is it faulty?

A: This bulb should indeed remain in the nightlight function. If you still have your receipt and the purchase was within the year you may exchange at the store. If not, please do not hesitate to contact the manufacturer directly for a replacement at 1-800-361-6761 (info@globe-electric.com).
