Good Coffee With Some Issues

We have had this for a 2 or three months now and are generally satisfied. Its makes good coffee and the ability to adjust for brew strength is a useful feature. I also appreciate that the mouth on the carafe is wide enough so that I can get in there with my hand and a cloth to facilitate cleaning. The carafe does not seem to keep the coffee hot for the same length of time as our previous one. In addition the spout and pouring mechanism tends to produce drips and overspill. This machine appears to take longer to brew than other coffee makers that we have owned.

It's great, it keeps the coffee warm for at least 3 hours after making it. It holds 12 cups. Timed so you can set it to go in the morning.

Be Real

I purchased this with the reusable wire basket and am happy with my purchase.
The spout and thumb release for pouring is a little tricky but easy enough to get used to.
Be realistic with your expectations on how long the carafe will keep coffee hot. The less in the pot, the faster it will cool off. It works well.
I haven't tried the programmable feature or the 1-4 cup mode. Cleaning is easy and construction seems solid enough. Purchased on sale along with a reusable wire basket filter to eliminate paper filters.

A: Since it's a thermal coffee maker there is no heat plate - therefore no need to 'shut off'. Once the coffee finishes dripping that's it. Coffee stays hot in thermal pot for several hours.

A: Temperature is about 85 degrees celcius when brewing. The thermos carafe keeps coffee hot for about 3 hours and warm for an additional 5 hours. Great machine.
