Bad batteries??

I have a hedge trimer and a sweeper/blower both using the 40V 1.5AH Lithium battery. I am having the same problem as nearly all the one star ratings. Can't get batteries to recharge. I have two chargers and both do the red light blink. Sometimes green for a bit then red. This is so frustrating making both pieces of equipment unusable. I have held B&D in high regard as far as quality but this certainly changes my mind.

Battery Life

Poor battery life. I bought a small leaf blower but can't get the battery to charge after only less than a yr's purchase. I've charged it the first couple months with no problem. Now it's dead-on-arrival. Very disappointed in Black & Decker. I would think their products would stand up much longer

A DECENT UNIT

I've had this B. and D. trimmer / edger for 8 yr. I think the battery has been replaced once. I find I can get about 30 min. of cutting - time. The charge - lights indicator is helpful. The unit is good, powerful enough and light. The only complaint is sometimes the mid-shaft support handle slips and needs to be reset.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Failed to charge

I bought the black and decker cordless hedge trimmer about a year ago. I used it four times to trim some small bushes in my yard. First time I tried changing it it started out ok and then after several minutes it started blinking red saying it was a bad battery and would no longer charge. This shouldn’t happen the first time charging a new battery. What’s wrong?
No, I do not recommend this product.
