Q: how should ball joint 022-6837-2 be oriented in socket Ball joint has lettering on side OSK 6540 and a small hole on top side by lettering.

A: As per the instruction sheet, the drilled hole alignment mark should be facing outboard (towards the wheel.) As this is a directional ball joint, failure to install as directed will result in damage.
