This appears to be a great addition. Some floors were dirty and the first cleaning with the 2-in-1 steam mop took awhile and I had to put the pad in the washing machine. Now, I can see cleaning the floors often. See, before, I was using traditional sponge. To get this out took awhile as I needed to get pail, soap, and mop ready, to do this. Now, I can just leave the steam mop near the floor, take it out of cupboard, and use immediately, filling with water as needed. Thus, it takes much less time to clean the floor when it is hardly dirty at all, and keep it clean most of the time.

A: No... It's for water only. Given the degree of heat involved using anything else could be very dangerous.
