[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i bought it to vacuum the stairs (my Dirt Devil broke in two pieces, after 15 or 20 years). This one does not weigh a lot and I can use it in spite of my age (89); in other words, it is exactly what I needed to keep clean stairs. [I would not bother writing a review if it were not for the sweepstakes -- I understand I have to use that word in the review, and so I did.]

Bought to vacuum the stairs (on CR recommendation)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] sweepstakes: the real reason for this review (otherwise I would not bother) My old Dirt Devil fell apart. I bought this Pet-Hair Eraser specifically to vacuum the stairs. Before buying it (online, directly from Bissell), I checked ratings and recommendations. It works beautifully and is light enough for an older person who cleans her steps all by herself. Would buy it again any time (it won't happen though: the Pet-Hair Eraser will outlive me -- I am 88+).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is like a shop vac. It picks up hair but you have to be careful using it because it blows everything else around.

A: the big specialist from canadian tire can not answer normal question ''corded''. I looked on Bissel user manual on line and it is designed to work on 120v ac, which is stupid because why would i buy a vacuum that is small but not used on 12 v dc every time i have to look for 120v outlet or i better use my house vacuum instead. canadian tire when you list a product make sure you give more details .

A: That’s a great question, Isaque. While we do not recommend using an additional hose with this hand vacuum, the inside diameter is 35mm.
