I bought this and it looked off colour -bad. The powder had a pink tinge to it. It did not dissolve and was clumpy in water. I used lemon juice instead.

Q: How much pectin do you put in a receipt of about 6 cups of berry juice?

  • A: For the  “Low or No Sugar Needed Pectin” recipe making raspberry or strawberry jam – 4 ½ tablespoons are required for 6 cups of prepared fruit.  There is a  detailed “pectin calculator” on the “Ball Pectin” site for each type of jam for up to 10 cups of prepared fruit.
