Didn't work as I intended

Bagel ffunction did not work,, did nothing different than without it set. Returned it and got another. Did exactly the same NO BAGEL FUNCTION. Totally disappointed as I have a GE 4 slice and it works great was just trying to free up some counter space by downsizing. Returned it for a refund. not sure if or what brand I will try next if I do
