powerblade sand and salt spreader

Do not buy if you intend to use it for spreading sand and salt mix. It simply does not work. The feed out is to small and the spin unit is far to shallow. This unit would need an internal auger to even have a chance of operating properly. Complete waste of $300.

The spreader does not spread, after three attempts to spread clean salt i gave up and threw it in the snow bank. i have reverted back to my walk behind spreader...IT works!!

wasted my money

purchased last winter used it with one (1) bag of salt ,just took it out of the shed and the motor doesen't work and the paint is peeling like it's 10yr's old,i wasted my money!!

Has it's issues

The motor has quit on me once and was replaced. All the parts below the spreader tend to rust quite badly if salt is used. Otherwise I have spread a lot of salt and the unit works well.
