It does leave a residue

One of it's features is that it doesn't leave a residue. It does. I like using the wipes more than applying it myself with a cloth though.

Armor All Cool Mist Protectant Wipes are as good as the regular ones I've come to love. I keep them in my glove box and they don't dry out. I like that they are lint free.

Don't buy! Leaves behind a greasy and shiny film

I bought the Cool Mist Protectant wipes after happily using the Original Protectant by Armor All. The Original Protectant works very well...it does not leave behind a greasy or shiny finish. I thought the Cool Mist Protectant would be the same...but I was wrong. My cars dashboard is covered in a greasy+shiny film. Very unhappy with the result of this product. I emailed Armor All about my complaint and all they did was tell me to wash it off using soap and water. What else am I supposed to wash it off with? More grease?
