It's OK but not worth the effort. Takes too much time to vacuum seal the meat prior to using so that it cooks evenly and then there is still the clean up required for searing/ charring the meat so its not just grey.

Definitely do not purchase

After purchasing I found out you are unable to even turn this device on without paying a monthly subscription. You shouldn't need to pay a monthly fee to use an appliance you purchased in full. Should I have to pay a monthly fee to make toast with my toaster? I'm avoiding this company from here on. Canadian Tire should not be supporting this.

I have used many Anova products but this one is not a stand alone unit. You need a smart phone with an app that requires a subscription,. Tried it, taking it back.
