the timer in itself is not near enough time to get up to temperature, having to turn on your tank then the dial then have to light it is a task. if youre not fast enough you get a nice fireball blow out. the soot build up is nuts, have to blow it out after a few uses. pot sprung a leak after one year. burner crapped out the next year

Not made for multitasking and We didn't feel safe using the product!

We returned this product, We have two more, the ones we have already don't have the timmer attached to it and so this one made it difficult to multitask because the timmer woud shut off every 15 minutes, also we found the wheel that controls the propane levels, didn't work properly, at a certain point while turning the wheel its like it kept turning like there was no end to the control. We didn't feel safe using the product!

  • A: This product like any other, does not come with a crystal ball, but you could always register and sign up to know "if" it goes on sale to be notified in the future, just like all other wonderful Canadian Tire products. At the current price, I'd recommend asking for it as a gift or saving up a few extra coffee cup expenses. ait is well worth the price it's at compared to all the other places that either, don't have this product type, or those that don't have it in this wonderfully large size. :)

Q: Is there a way to bypass the timer? I use mine alot for boiling water for long periods of time, but that timer makes things a little tedious.

The warranty of this appliance will be invalidated due to such situation.

Q: What do you use for a basket to do fish and chips or anything small, where it doesn't come with one anymore?

  • A: This fryer doesn’t include the strainer basket but you can buy the similar basket on the market – proper size of the basket is no bigger that 9.5” Dia. x 12” H.

Q: Can I cook using a frying pan or something similar over the burner rather than using the big pot? I am thinking this would work well for camping as well.
