A: We have not tested for use in septic systems, however, believe small usage to have limited risk. Excess amounts of vinegar or example, cleaners, could upset the bacteria in a septic tank

A: This food-grade product does not require dilution and can be used straight or 1:1 diluted with water depending on the intended use. On the back of the label there are some examples, including dilution for windows, glass, mirrors, and floors.

Q: what happens if you didn't realize that you needed to dilute this and sprayed it on fibreglass shower? Fumes did sting my eyes and lots of smell. 20 minutes later I realized that I should have diluted it with water and rinsed it all off.

A: Allen’s Double Strength Cleaning Vinegar works great on carpet stains, especially those left by pets due to its low PH vs acidic spills. A: Reinhart recommends diluting the vinegar down for hardwood floors to 1:3 water. For wooden closets, we recommend spraying and wiping away immediately.

Q: Can it be used to clean my front window which is smeared after a rain and I can not get it off by just washing with water and some soap or a window cleaner. Is this the same as distilled vinigar and what is % acidity? What amount would I use with water?

A: Allen’s Double Strength Cleaning Vinegar is double the concentration (10% acetic acid by volume) of regular grocery vinegar (5% acetic acid by volume). White Vinegar is often called distilled white vinegar. There is no difference. Allen’s Double Strength Cleaning Vinegar can be used for cleaning glass windows mixing with water at a 50/50 ratio. This solution helps removing window glass dirt and prevents the appearance of streaks when using a lint free or microfiber cloths.
