Not reliable

Do not buy this oven thermometer. It is not reliable. We put our oven at the same setting and it recorded the temperature at between 50 and 150 degrees at different times. It is garbage and we threw it out. Our food ended up over or undercooked.

A: 150°F to 249°F = ±13°F 250°F to 349°F = ±10°F 350°F to 499°F = ±5°F 500°F to 600°F = ±10°F

Q: Would this be safe to go on the BBQ?

A: The thermometer can be used in an environment up to 600 degrees. However, grills can get hotter than that and can be subjected by an open flame. So we do not recommend using it in a grill.
