Works as it should.

So far it survives the rigours of our kitchen and works as it should. It will also make a good travel accessories as items that need some protection can be placed inside, and that coffee of choice can be made at one's final destination.

Purchased this as I found myself among non coffee drinkers and didn't want to make a large or even half pot simply to discard a significant portion of that. Took me a couple of tries to get a combination that was to my taste however the Maker does not result in grounds in my cup and cleanup is quick and easy.

  • A: Pour faire du café dans une cafetière à piston, il faut verser de l'eau bouillante sur le café placé au fond. Le filtre/piston est Inséré après et poussé vers le bas quand le café est prêt. Ce n'est pas comme une cafetière italienne dans laquelle il faut faire bouillir l'eau pour qu'elle monte sur le café.

Q: what is the actual volume of this press? (ounces would be nice!) I know it says 8 cups, but it seems to be same size as my glass one, which is 34 oz - i.e., 4 (and a bit) cups.

  • A: Hi there, The volume of this french press is 34OZ. The press is measured in small cups, each cup is 125ml, which is how we get 8. This transfer to about 4 regular sized coffee cups. Hope this helps!
