Don't buy

As other reviews have said, the threads are to shallow, so it's very easy to strip the tread. After any wind the pole will start to lean then eventually break.

Worst Feeder Pole

I bought two of these bird feeder poles. As others have said the threaded connections are weak and become rusty and loose very quickly which allows the pole to move back and forth in the wind. This unit is not designed to hold any kind of weight (feeders over a pound with seed)! I do NOT recommend this pole.

Cheap, Cheap...CHEAP!!!!!

And that isn't the sound of the birds. That's the sound of the horrible quality that went into this bird feeder pole. The first one I purchased was broken (right out of the box). I went to Canadian Tire and got an exchange the same day. The replacement one wasn't exactly broken, but I'm assuming has a manufacturing defect. When I screwed the pipe onto the base (the base has the spikes buried below the ground), it just keeps turning in place. I could be there all day just turning and turning. It's not secured. As a result, it just teeters left to right, as if it's about to fall. I'm going to apply a super adhesive in the hopes that bond and stop teetering, but this is ridiculous. I'm not even going to bother to return this one. The old saying is true : You get what you pay for.
