Good performance for toxic dust protection

Used this respirator when sanding toxic antifouling marine paint. Breathing was very comfortable, blocked odours and blocked dust from mouth well. BUT the nose cover was quite uncomfortable after a few hours. I would really have preferred a full face mask type respirator that would have also protected my entire face from dust, but CDN Tire doesn't seem to sell them.

The filters work exceptionally well, & that really is the point of this mask, however the mask itself is made from very cheap plastic, unworthy of the fine filters.

My son works construction and deals with lots of concrete dust. This has been saving his lungs. Only complaint is that the actually respirator needs replacing every month and not just the cartridges (which he replaces weekly).

I will quote John from a previous answer: "the P100 filters that come with the respirator are designed to protect you from dust and particulate, such as asbestos and organic vapour, such as most solvents. The mask is only as good as the fit, so be clean shaven; no facial hair." 3M may provide a more substantial answer. Cheers, Jake
