Great Basic Setup

Great starter set with ample weights. Vinyl finish isn't the greatest for plates but the vinyl on these are textured instead of smooth which makes for nice grip when placing them on the bar. Only issue I have is that the plates wobble a bit on the bar, so take care to clamp them in really tightly.

Q: How much does the bar actually weight? This question has been asked 3 prior times with 3 different answers. 2 of which are from Canadian Tire experts (both with different answers). I bought this set and the bar doesnt feel like 15 lbs or 16 lbs. So how much does it actually weigh?

Q: Is 300lbs included? Is there 300 lbs of weights included as advertised cause all I add up to is 150 lbs plus a 16 lb bar 5+10+25+35= 75 75 x 2 (set) = 150

A: You should have receive 6 boxes containing 1 - 7’ bar, 2 – 5 lb weights, 4 – 10 lbs., 4 – 25 lbs, 4 – 35 lb, and 2 spring collars. If you purchased this item and did not receive everything, please contact your local store.
