Tire started peeling after 12,000 miles

a year ago

I never had a tire that peeled off, and never had a tire that needed to be changed after 3 years and 12,000 miles. I used it on roads and never drive off road on an Audi Q7

This is my honest opinion. I bought my car and it came equipped with these tires. I notice these tires would not maintain the air pressure. I was having to go to the tire shop or dealership to get the air pressure adjusted every other month. My car is a 2019 with 32,500 miles as you can see I don't use it much. I went in ahead to the tire shop see what's going on with the tire pressure and they discover you can see the actual wires on the thread of the tires.... you kidding me! This tire is said to last up to 50k miles at 32k and they are useless. First time using Goodyear and last time that's for sure.

I was able to extract 45k miles and could have gone another 3-4k but since winter and rain are coming I felt is time to replace. The ride quality is good coming on an electric car. Not as noisy as some other reviewers say. I do see the tires have begun to chip/chunk on the last leg, not a big deal, is not unsafe unless cords are exposed. These are sport performance tires, if you knew, people wouldn't be complaining about tread life, they are engineered for grip not for tread life. Even with that if you drive conservatively you'll squeeze mileage out of them. If you want mileage go with MaxLife Assurances, but if you want peace of mind knowing you won't be stranded due to a flat, and don't mind lower mileage buy these Eagle Sport ROF.
