5 stars for convenience

I use a 53 year old golf course mower to mow my large rural lawn. When the old ground from the battery to the frame lost continuity, I was able to run to town, find this on the shelf (always in stock), and have my mower up and running within the hour. 5 stars for my favourite store for having what I need, when I need it.

Cables were good

Cables were but if they had a spring loaded flat end , they would be easier to install and remove . . Lead ends will stretch over time .

Working on an old Dodge with crusty wires. I used this to replace the negative cable. It works, even had little stickers to mark as negative or positive.

Questions

1 - 10 of 10 Questions

Q: I’ve bought a monastery inverter.   Are these the battery cables I need?

1 Answer
  • A: These battery cables can be used for some inverter installations but what particular gauge you require depends on the wattage rating of your inverter as well as your particular installation/set up (i.e. the length of your battery cables). Please refer to the instruction manual included with your inverter or contact the inverter manufacturer for assistance.

Q: Please indicate whether the terminal is sized for the positive or negative battery terminal.

1 Answer
  • A: The terminal is universal and will accommodate both a positive or negative SAE battery post. If your battery post is worn or smaller than SAE standard (e,g, EN/JIS) you can consider using a post shim (e.g. MotoMaster 011-3601).

Q: What size wrench(es) will I need to tighten the 2 nuts?

1 Answer
  • A: Use a 12mm wrench to tighten to the nut. You should not need a wrench for the bolt head as it is square and will rest against a stop however if you want to put a wrench on it, use a 13mm.
