A halogen light bulb is a type of incandescent bulb that works at high temperatures, generating a lot of high intensity light in a much smaller package than traditional incandescent bulbs.

What should I look for when buying or replacing a halogen bulb?

Keep in mind the base type and choose a bulb that matches it, as well as matching the wattage to the fixture or lamp. Choosing whether you want a soft white or bright white bulb can be important for your eye comfort indoors.

Are halogen bulbs being phased out?
