Outdoor power tool battery platforms

Share the battery, save on time. Boost your efficiency with batteries you can interchange with various cordless power tools.

Yardworks Battery Platform

Uses a single battery pack that can be interchanged to power a multitude of cordless power tools for your convenience. While all batteries work for all tools, various amperages are better suited for equipment that need more power.

Yardworks Snowblower

One of the most powerful cordless snowblowers on the market.

  • Includes two 5Ah 48V MAX* batteries and 4A dual charger
  • Throws snow up to 30 feet
  • 180° electric chute rotation

Batteries & Chargers

Various batteries give you the power and flexibility you need to get the job done with one battery that can be shared between tools. Batteries with higher amperages are better suited for tools and equipment that require more power.

Yardworks Battery Platform FAQ

No. These tools only work with the Yardworks 48V battery. Batteries from other brands, including Mastercraft, only work with batteries designated for that particular brand.

Please check the troubleshooting section in the Product Manual for solutions to common issues.

Ensure the battery is charged. Battery pack may be too hot. Remove from unit and allow time for the battery pack to cool.

Yes. The products come 'kitted' which means you get tool and battery. With that said there is the option to buy 'Tool Only' SKUs that come without the battery for a lower cost (for consumers who already have a battery from previous purchase). Tool Only is clearly called out on the packaging.

Less maintenance, less noise, eco-friendly.

The battery pack may be too hot or cold. Cool or warm the battery pack to 5-40℃, and then charge again. Disconnect and re-connect battery pack to charger to check connection.

Warranty varies by product. For 48V, warranty is 5 years tool, 3 years battery.

Yes, they are all compatible. On the packaging side panel, the consumer can see a chart which shows them which battery capacity (Ah) is recommended for optimal performance.

For 48V, 3 years.

Amp hours (Ah) represent the capacity of the battery. Higher Ah means higher capacity and therefore longer runtime.

Depends on what charger you have and the Ah of your battery. The standard 2A charger will charge a 2Ah battery in an hour, 4Ah battery in 2 hours, 6Ah in 3 hours. The 6A Fast Charger will charge the 2Ah battery in 20 minutes, 4Ah in 40 minutes, and 6Ah battery in an hour.

  • More Efficient: Less energy loss increases the efficiency and enables more per charge and extended runtime. Due to the absence of brushes, less mechanical energy loss due to friction.
  • More Powerful: Strong magnetic shoe and high efficiency makes the motor delivers more power.
  • More Precise Control: Commutation with electronics instead of brushes, the control is more precise, and allows for greater flexibility and capabilities.
  • Longer Motor Life: There are no brushes to wear out, which can greatly extend motor life span. Also, it eliminates the need of replacing brushes, or commutators.
  • No Sparking: The brushless motor eliminates ionizing sparks from the commutator.
  • Less Heat: The motor also cools easily. The windings are supported by the housing, they can be cooled by conduction, requiring no airflow inside the motor for cooling.

* Maximum battery voltage without workload; with workload nominal voltage is 43.2V.
