What do I need to hang a picture on the wall?

A picture hanging kit is the best way to hang a variety of artwork, and comes with enough hardware for several pictures. Picture hooks are a great option, and adhesive hooks don't require tools and won't leave holes in walls. Tie wire can be useful as it lets you hang art from hooks or anchors, and easily level it afterward.

What are the different ways I can hang a picture?

The easiest way is to attach an adhesive picture hanger on the wall, then hang the picture on it directly. You can also nail a picture hanger into drywall to hang lightweight frames quickly and easily. The most common and effective way to hang larger pictures and artwork is to use one or two hangers, then hang the piece with a length of wire to balance the load between them.

What tools do I need to hang a picture?

You'll need a hammer, screwdriver or drill, marker, and level. If you'll use wire to hang a picture, make sure you have wire cutters handy.
