    It works

Purchased this for a ceiling that was water stained and had a popcorn finish. It provided a great seal for finish painting with no bleed through of stains. However popcorn ceiling really sucked it up so used two coats before a finish paint. Very volatile, drys fast, but even with an open window and fan got a buzz from the fumes. Recommend.

I have used this primer at my cottage to paint bare wood and previously painted doors and the primer is the best I have ever used.

    Questions

    1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: does this need to be top coated, I want to use it to waterproof the underside of a boat deck

    1 Answer
    • A: This is not a waterproofing primer. It will eventually peel off. Also, because it is a primer, it needs to be top coated only because it will yellow.

Q: Is this the sealer for a textured ceiling which has never been painted before? I'm worried about the texture coming off.

    1 Answer
    • A: If by “textured” the customer is referring to popcorn-like ceiling then yes this product would perform well.
