Good starting kits

It's good in the sense that it has everything to get you started. We actually caught a few fishes with the fake bait provided. However, the spinning wheel button fell out of the places after about 2 days of usage. It's easy enough to put it back by disassemble the thing. Then the fishing line got tangled badly inside shortly after. It took me a while to untangle it. I don't ever go fishing so I'm not sure if it's normal to have the fishing line tangle inside like that. But overall, it gets the job done as a beginner starting kits.

This rod has smooth and easy handling. I take my rod everywhere: to the lakes, camping, travelling in my car and even in my walk on luggage. It's great!

Great telescopic rod for young kids

We've had 2 of these for a couple of years for our kids. I take them mostly brook fishing. Great for tight spaces and the reel has been trouble free - so far.

When it's on sale - GET IT

The spincast reel is of mediocre quality. If you get one of these, it would most likely be for a small child who isn't coordinated enough to use a spinning reel... if this is the case, make sure they don't reel in all the line after it breaks, because then you'll have a great time taking it apart and trying to get at the end of the line to pull it back out. Other than that, it's good! Don't replace it with line thicker than 6lb test, or you probably won't be casting very far.
