Hi 4789,
We’re very sorry to hear the package arrived with one tine missing and another damaged. We understand how disappointing that can be, especially when purchasing replacement parts intended to get your equipment back up and running quickly.
This is certainly not the experience we want for our customers, and we appreciate you bringing the issue to our attention. To help review this further, we recommend contacting Greenworks Customer Support with your proof of purchase and photos of the package contents, if available, so our team can assist with the best next steps.
Greenworks Customer Support can be reached at 1-888-909-6757 or through Live Chat, and we would be happy to help further. GreenworksTools

Enclosed installation drawing

I installed them as per the installation pamphlet showed that was included with the springs. After I dethatched about 3/4 of my 50' city lot, I noticed it no longer was removing the dead grass. I checked the tines and 12 of them were already broken.Either the replacement tines are of poor quality or the diagram for installation is wrong.

Hi chills,
We’re sorry to hear multiple dethatcher tines broke during use, especially after following the included installation instructions.
Dethatcher tine wear and durability can vary depending on lawn conditions, soil hardness, debris, root buildup, and dethatching depth settings, but we understand your concern regarding both the tine performance and installation guidance provided with the replacement set.
To help review this further, we recommend contacting Greenworks Customer Support with the dethatcher model number along with photos of the tine installation and the damaged tines, if available. Our team can help confirm the tines were installed correctly for your specific unit and review whether there may be another contributing factor affecting performance.
Greenworks Customer Support can be reached at 1-888-909-6757 or through Live Chat, and we would be happy to assist further. GreenworksTools

Too short for Yardworks Dethatcher

Useless. even at the lowest depth, they are not long enough to dig out thatch. I had to spend $26 for the "Worx" branded tines and return these. Do better Canadian Tire.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear the tines did not meet your expectations. To help improve performance, we recommend first confirming that the tines are fully compatible with your specific dethatcher model, as slight differences in design can affect how deeply they engage with the lawn. It may also help to double-check that the dethatcher is set to its lowest depth setting correctly and that the wheels are evenly adjusted, as improper leveling can limit how far the tines reach into the thatch layer. For best results, dethatching is typically most effective on dry, thin layers of thatch, so if the buildup is particularly dense or the soil is compacted, multiple passes or a more aggressive tine design may be needed. If the issue persists despite these adjustments, returning or exchanging the product for a model better suited to your equipment is a reasonable next step. If you have further concerns or simply want to discuss your issues further, we invite you to call Yardworks customer service at 1-866-523-5218 and one of their team members can assist in resolving your concerns. Terrible experience

I bought these a week ago to replace tines on my dethatcher, they lasted 10 minutes and all broke. Went back and exchanged for new ones, once again lasted 10 minutes and were all broken. Would not recommend.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello Lou77. We are sorry to hear about your experience. The most common reason is the tines hitting rocks, roots, or other buried objects that the tiller couldn't clear. This can cause the tines to bend, shear, or break. To prevent this, clear the area. Remove any visible rocks, debris, or obstructions before starting. If tilling in a new area, start with the depth bars set low (tilling shallowly) and gradually increase the depth as you go. Be aware that roots or rocks can be buried under the surface and may not be immediately visible. To prevent tine breakage here are a few tips that might be helpful. Let the wheels pull the tiller while tilling, and walk on the side that is not yet finished. Do not force the tines, if you encounter an obstruction that the tines can not clear, stop and address the problem rather than forcing the tiller. If you have further concerns or simply want to discuss your issues further, we invite you to call Yardworks customer service at 1-866-523-5218 and one of their team members can assist in resolving your concerns. Hello emerald. We are sorry to hear one of the tines were missing from the package. Unfortunately, individual tines are not on the exploded view of replacement parts. With that said, we, unfortunately, did not have a part number to place an order for. We will always do our best to replace parts that we have but, in some cases, we do not have the option. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. At your convenience, please contact Yardworks customer service at 1-866-523-5218 and one of their team members can assist in resolving your concerns. GreenworksTools

Q: Can you make STRONGER tines? They are breaking like crazy!

3 Answers
  • Greenworks Tools
A: Hi Bill, We’re sorry to hear the dethatcher tines have been wearing out faster than expected. These tines are designed to flex during use, but rough terrain, rocks, roots, or heavier thatch buildup can sometimes lead to faster wear over time. To help extend tine life, it can help to start with a higher dethatching setting and lower it gradually based on lawn conditions. Periodically clearing larger debris from the area may also help reduce strain during operation. If you’d like, our support team can also help review your setup and make sure you have the correct replacement tines for your unit. You can reach Yardworks Customer Support at 866-523-5218 for assistance.

Q: Bought two bags of these at the same time as when we purchased the matching dethatcher.  Two seasons later I need to replace some tines and they are about 1/2” shorter than original tines?

  • A: I have not used my replacement tines, but it should be ok if they are slightly shorter as the de thatcher has adjustable height settings.

Q: How does the tine shaft come apart to replace the tines?

3 Answers
  • A: Turn machine upside down. Remove the 2 screws from the chassis holding the right non-drive wheel in place. Pull wheel assembly toward you and remove wheel. The tine roller assembly should now be free to disengage from the left drive wheel side. Remove the 2 screws (includes lock washer and flat washer) from each tine unit. Each tine unit needs to be split apart and separated from the centre hub. Using a small hammer tap on the indent of the one half tine assembly until it shows separation. Do not remove completely. Hard to get back in place if you do. Using a screwdriver, now separate the tine unit on this one side only until the pin of the tine assembly is just above the adjacent one. Using a small tool, nail or screwdriver, tap the pin until it is almost through. Remove the old tine and insert the new one, make sure tine is in the right way. Tap the pin back into place, and the tine assembly back into place. Repeat for the other half if necessary until all have been replaced. Job took about 45 minutes. Hope this helps.

Q: I am looking at the Yardworks dethatcher #06-0386. It references using replacement tines #060-6115. When you go to the tines description it says only compatible with models purchased before 2020. Why would they be listed for a unit purchased in 2022?

2 Answers
  • A: In this situation I would buy the available tines and compare them to the ones on your dethatcher. (Don’t destroy the packaging).  If they are identical looking then I would use them.
