I left a review about 2 of these sprinklers leaking and not providing full coverage. Response from Melnor was to contact customer service. I did as requested over 3 weeks ago. It appears their response, pretending to care, is added by a bot and they in fact don’t care to resolve the issue. Moving on to a better made brand.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Waste of money

Bought 2 of these based on reviews. Description states that they will not leak. Not true - both leaked around screw cap for adding another hose line. Caps are plastic so you can’t tighten enough without popping off the thread. Also claims to have even water distribution. Not true - on full they both left a dry line on new sod. Warranty is not good. Returned for refund and only offered exchange. Why would I want to exchange when they don’t work as promised?
No, I do not recommend this product.

I loved the versatility of this sprinkler, UNTIL the PLASTIC spike it stands on broke in half. It doesnt appear to come appart to replace the spike. Arghhhh.

Q: Is the head supposed to rotate? I just purchased on and it does not rotate, it does a bit of an X pattern but no rotation. Just swivels from side to side. Not sure if I have it set wrong or if it’s defective?

A: No the head is not designed to rotate/oscillate but only move in an arc or rainbow pattern. Hopefully this helps.

Q: How low can the water from this sprinkler go, I would like to water under the tree leaves. How narrow can it water? Can I control the water pressure? Does it water in a square pattern, if yes, what is the size of the square. Thank you.

A: Yes, it waters in a relatively square/rectangular pattern. I think the box said 40'x80' at max pressures. I would not recommend for under a tree, the arc is like 20' tall at max and as you lower the pressure the arc gets lower and the area watered gets less. An impulse sprinkler has no problems under tress, just the circle shape means some overspray.

A: We don't have data on the minimum width, but you can adjust the range control tabs to basically make it spray directly up in the air, if you like.
